9 of my babies have to go :(
I have fourteen gerbils, all of whom I love very much, most I have hand-raised. My parents, however, say it's too much. Only my five origional gerbils are allowed to stay, and the nine others have to go as soon as possible. If they are still here or have no plan of leaving in one month, my parents are selling them to the petstore. I REALLY care for their futures, and I would like for them to have a good home. If they go to a petstore, who knows what will happen. I feel it is my responsiblity as their owner to ensure a good next home. So, I would appriciate it more than you know if some people here would help me out.
The gerbils I am giving away are all under one year, I bred/raised them. Males and females, and they are free to a good home. (Please note that I will not allow anyone to use them for breeding unless you are experineced) I will require that they go to a knowlegeable home with a good gerbil set-up. If you would like only one gerbil, it must be slowly and safely introduced to at least one other, none will go to live alone. I have a few pics, sorry if they are a little blurry, they're an active bunch

*please note the dove gerbil in the back - she has only one eye, and will need to go to a very loving home. She dosen't have any difficulties with it, but needs a slow, gentle hand to pick her up.*
(three dove gerbils, the rest are black with white chin stripes)
Thanks to all who can help, I really appriciate it.
I am located in Mohnton, Pennsylvania (near Reading), and you can email me at fjordque@ptd.net

I wish you the best of luck. You also may be able to find a rodent shelter. There are a few rattie and mice shelters around me that take in hamsters and gerbils from time to time. I hope all goes well for you.

I would LOVE take a few off your hands but I live too far (texas) I once had 13 gerbils at one time as well, luckily though I was able to rehome several and keep another number. I hope they can find good homes! Gerbils have always been my favorites.

thanks for the encouragement. I haven't thought about a shelter for some reason - I might look into that (I think our animal rescue league would take them) if it comes to that.
thanks again

I'm not quite sure where buffalo is... I know if it's a distance that could be resonable if divided up, that would work, but if not, I'm sorry about that.

Good luck .
I wish I could help but I'm pretty far. Have you tried posting an ad to craigslist.com?
