Opeing a shelter requires dedication and love and a place to do it at. Everything that I can think of counts as a donation or tax right-off. Being a non-profit organization you can also get grants to help start the shelter up. There are a lot of resourses out there for these things. Vets will also work with you if you stick with one vet and send him clients, he will work in the shelter for a discount or even for free. So it is a wonderful thing to do. All to many animals die for the simple fact that their owners don't want them anymore. I look at animals like children, the only way that I will get rid of them is when they die.
