Ratgurrrlz is on a distinguished road

Before & After

Owen, rescued September 2nd from Upstate NY had the large tumor
removed from his neck and is doing well.. He is eating and drinking
and playing in his new suite with Jolie. Jolie, rescued September
27th from Long Island New York had her third surgery and is also
doing very well. When we rescued her we were told she was a lab rat
along with her sister Drew. Jolie has no eyes and was subject to
cancer experimentation. Her leg looks wonderful.. She is running
around and stealing everyones carrots. The surgeries went well!
Thanks to our Reskues Vet Dr. Ella McRae. The surgeries, plus fluids
given to another rescue cost over $200.

An Albino Male rescue (We call him Goliath), rescued November 12
(Jersey City Reskue) and a Black Berk Female rescued December 28th
(23 rats & 10 spiny mice surrendered that day), both have surgery on
February 4. The Albino male has a very large tumor in his testicles
and will need to be spayed. He also has a few small lumps in his
abdomen that need to be removed as well. The Black Self Female came
to us with 3 large mammory tumors that needed to be removed. She had
a slight case of Myco, and that is why she has not received the
surgery sooner. It is harder for these little babies to survive
surgery if they are having breathing problems, the Myco is now
cleared up and she is ready for surgery.

Two other female rescues Gwen and Legolas (Rescue June 2004 along
with 28 more ratties) both have surgeries on November 9th. They both
have mammory tumors that need to be removed. Gwen has two mammory
tumors located on her abdomen and Legolas has a mammory tumor located
by her groin.

And the final two female rescues are Rose and Quinn who both have
surgery on February 11, Rose has a mammory tumor by her groin and
Quinn has a mammory tumor located near her armpit.

All of their pictures can be seen on our webgroup Loving Rats under
the message "Before & After"

That's 8 surgeries in one month time. So we need to raise some money
to help with their medical expenses. We're going to hold another
raffle and of course we welcome any monentary donation, nothing is
too big or too small. ! Including the surgeries and medicine/after
care we will have to spend over $900 out of pocket to help these
babies in need.

All of their surgeries are done by our vet Dr Ella McRae located in
Woodbridge New Jersey.

We are holding a raffle ($1 a ticket) to raise funds to help pay for
their medical needs. The grand prize is a $100 PetsMart gift
certificate and the two runners up will receive Ratta Muffin Hand
made Hammocks (Pooh Pattern).

Please consider purchasing a ticket or two or even making a monotery
donation. Email for details at Ratgurrrlz@aol.com
You can purchase tickets through our rescues paypal account, the link
is on our donations page or if you don't have patpal you can send a
donation to Renee & Luna Foxx PO Box 17 Browns Mills, NJ 08015
If you are writing a check please make it payable to Luna & Renee
Foxx and in the memo put Ratta Muffin Reskue. Please specify if it is
a donation or if you would like to receive ticket numbers. Thanks!

We still have many available rescues up for adoption. Please feel
free to check out our tripod website, http://ratgurrrlz.tripod.com/
and read a little bit about us and our rescue and look at the
pictures of the beautiful babies looking for a second chance at a
loving, permanent home. Many of these rescues have never felt love
before, and some come to us terrified of any human contact, but we
work with them on a daily basis and they do eventually come around.
They deserve to feel loved, their lives are so short. They need you,
and maybe a part of you needs one of them too. Maybe one will pull at
your heart strings and they will finally find their forever home.

"If you could........help just one......... save just one from
certain doom...... teach just one to trust agan...... WOULD YOU?"
