I am posting this for someone, to help get the word out and find this poor chin a home!

HELP PLEASE READ: Chin in Desperate NEED of Home or will be Euthanized.
Ok here goes.....

My vet (awesome bunch of exotic specialists) gave my number to a chin owner who can no longer keep the chin due to the failing health of their son. My vet gave me the run down of the story....

The chin has been diagnosed w/ a root infection which is beginning the clear up but the vet feels that monthly (ever other monthly) filing will be necessary. Due to the cost of the filing (even when the vet is giving at cost price for monthly filings as he does for me and my 6 yr old old), the family cannot keep him. It's financially not feasible to them and they are heart broken. Hence, the vet gave my number to them hoping between my friends, the forum and word of mouth, I could help find him a home or with someone who'll take him for the interim and adopt him out to a good home.

The sad part of this story is that the other alternative is to put him to sleep. The owner doesn't want to hang on to him and hes currently at the vet's office. He has about a week, then he will be put to sleep, if not found a home.

I would take this little man in a heartbeat, however I have 6 chins, a bunny, 2 horses and a cat. The oldest chin already has malcoccusions and requires filing. I don't know the chin, but I'm trying to do my all for him!

Pls *PM/Email me for my number* (edited by Admin) if you have any interest of any questions or reply to the thread. PLEASE HELP!

What about contacting a chin rescue? I know next to nothing about chins, but I know that the rescue that I got my rabbits from saved chins as well. There has to be a place that will take him. Why does he have to be put to sleep? I'm confused.
