If I were closer I would love to give the females a home.

I love Degus.org.... I go there often and I do post classifieds for our rescues there. Bara is a great person to keep such a nice site!

Congrats! I'm sorry I couldn't have taken one, but my mom was giving me a bit of trouble (of course now she said that she'd think about it, but now they all have homes) That's really great that they all found a home, especially since they're together!

I'm so glad the girls have found homes. Hopefully, the boys will, soon.

Update on the degu situation...
We have a home for the girls we had posted about BUT there is quite the little twist - 2 out of the 4 have had babies so they will stay with us untilt he pups are weaned and the adopters have stated they will take any or all of the female pups. Out of 8 pups only 5 are still with us. I am both furious and frustrated to see that happen. They could only have been babies when they became pregnant. The new people who will be owned by these lady degus had a brand new cage mailed to us for them. A pic is below. What wonderful folks!!!!!!!
We still have 4 gentlemen who need homes. There are 2 single male degus who need to stay that way and a pair of males. If anyone is linterested in adopting them please let us know. They can be seen here.

Bah to people letting babies be in situations that get them pregnant. >< Makes me angry. I mean, what do you think it would do to you to have babies at 11? Would you want that for your kid? THen why let it happen to your pets? Shame on whoever let that happen. *sigh* At least the adopters are being very cool about it. I think it's wonderful that they are willing to take all the female babies. They sounds like very caring people.
Good luck finding homes for the little critters you have left.

If you get any in September, let me know. I am hopefully going to get a pair for Scott for his birthday, I hope.
