Golden Retriever help!

We have a golden retriever that we will have to put to sleep - however, we would be willing to give him to a family that could pay for the surgery that he needs. He has a liver shunt, and corrective surgery is outside our means. I have a picture of him here - http://www.weswatsonweb.com/Family.htm

We really do not want to put him to sleep but may have no alternative.

Call around different pet rescue centers like p.a.w.s, they may have the answer for you. You could also put an add in the paper explaing the problem and you may get someone who can help.
