Looking to save a dog's life....

I want to adopt a female(spayed or neutered) small or medium breed dog as a companion for my male chihuahua/dachsund Lucky.

The breeds I'm interested are dachsund, short leged pugs or short legged jack russel terrier, short legged rat terrier, yorky, beagle, or australian shepard or a malamute,husky,akita, or german shepard puppy has too be good with small dogs.

The dogs can't be over 1 year. I live in Levittown,Pa near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. So the dog needs to be close to Philadelphia, New Jersy or Levittown ( no New york unless they will bring her to me so i can see if i like her.) No more thean 2-4 hours away. * German shepard,malamutem, Husky, or Akita don't have to be a female males are okay too just have too be good with male small breed dogs. And the dog would be preferably housetrained but not necessary.

house broken either a good friendlt, but protective guard dog or a layed back likes to snuggleunder the covers kinda small dog ( housebroken)

Just curious...why can't the dog be over one year old? You might miss out on some really nice dogs with that restriction.

Can't be over five years old ok. I really want a husky puppy with blue eyes so i can raise the pup around Lucky so they will be friends

I think you would be better sticking with a smaller dog but if you have your heart set on a husky puppy, all i can say is read up on the desired dog and find out as much information as possible, which im sure you've already done.
