A woman was tragically murdered New Year's Day, leaving 28 Akitas homeless. The Akita Rescue took them in. Only 9 of them have found homes. Today my mom, who is on the Akita Mailing List, recieved an email listing all the costs there have been just for these 28 days because of boarding, grooming, feeding, vet bills, etc. and even after the 9 dogs that have been adopted adoption fees, they are still over $2,000.00 behind on what they have spent, they are loosing. Help find it in your heart to adopt one of these beautiful Akitas or make a donation.
These Akitas were not found until about 4 days after the murder, leaving them hungry and thirsty. Thankfully none of them died, the snow probably helped them to not dehydrate.
