New Castle, PA: 2 y/o GSD Mix Needs Home

This is from a wonderful shelter operator(Helen of
Helping Hands Ferret Rescue) in my network. She would
really love to get "Wolf" placed and soon. If you are
interested in adopting "Wolf" or are able to assist
in getting him placed, *please* e-mail me at
nancyjp2001@yahoo.com and I will send you Helen's
contact info.
Thank you ever so much in advance, and permission to
crosspost granted.

~Nancy

Here is the info that was sent to me...

"Wolf lived in a trailer park with his family whom he
loved very much. He is now with me but only
temporary. His owner says he loves kids and that he
seems to get along with all the other animals at the
trailer park...

Wolf, is being evicted because the owner of the
trailer court wants him OUT...

What happened? well, he saw his owner, a 6 year old
boy, down the street and started running to greet
him....

some lady saw him running towards the boy...and rushed
out screaming and yelling at him..and jumped in front
of the boy (thinking the dog was going to hurt him)
and he bit her!! because he thought she was going to
hurt "his boy"!!

It is a sad situation...The lady that was bitten
didn't have to get any stitches. His owner said he has
never bitten before...but the owner of the trailer
park doesn't care..he said he has to go ASAP or he
will call in the Dog Warden and have the dog taken.
Last Friday the owner of the dog was served with
eviction papers...The owner of the dog and child
called my friend Helen and begged her to save him...if
animal control comes to get him he'll be put to
sleep!! he had a reprieve until last Saturday because
Helen called the ower of the park and begged him for a
few more days to find him a home explaining to him
that she belongs to many rescue groups and is working
to find him a home.

The owner of the park somewhat agreed but said that
Saturday the dog better be gone.!! This was all a
month ago. Helen begged her husband to put up the old
kennel fence they had and let her bring the dog here
until she can find a home for him. He agreed to give
her six weeks with the dog.

Helen now has the dog with her but is looking
desperately for a home for him. She said he seems
friendly and so far no problems with him. She is
concerned that the dog is outside in a pen and has
been use to being in a warm trailer with his family.

Helen, is unable to bring him into the home as she has
two toy Poodles that would not tolerate him and a Pit
Bull in her home plus 4 rescue cats and 36 ferrets of
which 26 are rescues.

Helen would like to find a home for him with someone
that has experience with dogs and will work with him
for obedience. She truly believes that he will make a
wonderful family dog in the end. She says that Wolf,
just needs a second chance.
Can anyone help?? He is currently in the New Castle,
PA. area...he needs a fenced in yard

Thanks So Much
God Bless All Of YOU
Please Pray A Home is Found
It would make a wonderful Christmas Present for Wolf"
