Rescued Hedgehogs for Adoption!

We here at Mrs. Tiggy Winkle's Hedgehogs just rescued a probably pregnant female hedgehog (about 3 years old) from a backyard breeder. We have named her 'Muffin', she is a salt and pepper color white bellied hedgehog, very sweet! She loves to be held and played with!

She has a hurt leg right now and is still seeing the vet with us for that. Because she may also be preggers (the previous owner left his children put a male in her cage recently) we have to hold her for 35-40 days to make sure she doesn't become a mommy. If she does have babies we need to keep her for 6 weeks till the babies are old enough to leave her.

We are looking for a forever home for Muffin and seperate homes for any possible babies she may yet have while she is staying with us.

There is a rehoming fee of $75.00 to adopt a rescued hedgehog from us and you must sign an adoption contract and show that you understand how to care for a hedgehog before you will be permitted to adopt. Vet Reffs and photo ID are needed. We will only place one hedgehog per home. ALL applicants must be at least 16 years old or else the adoption must be done by a parent or gaurdian.

If you are interested in meeting Muffin and giving her the good caring home she deserves and needs then please feel free to stop by our store front in Carrollton. We will give you a free basic care guide from the Hedgehog Welfare Society and answer any hedgie related questions you may have.
Please make sweet Miss Muffin a part of your loving home!

That is wonderful news!
I think they are amazing little critters but I don't believe they are allowed in the state of Pennsylvania. I don't understand why they aren't.

Yes, there are a few states yet that don't allow hedgies as pets in them. It is rather silly really!

We have another Rescue that is available to adopt! A gorgeous grey snowflake female about 3 years old named Princess Dianna.
She is extremely tame and sweet! We would like to have her go to an experianced home that has previously had hedgehogs if possible.

We remind our new parents that our rescued pets are NEVER to be bred! ESPECIALLY considering their age in the case of Princess here. Adoption fee applies and you need to sign our adoption contract & supply valid photo ID.
If you are in the area come on by and meet Dianna!
