Transport help is needed this Saturday, Oct 11th for
13 ferrets from Ferrets-N--Limbo Shelter in Orlando,
FL to Nola Ferret Shelter in New Orleans, LA. This is
a shelter to shelter transfer.
This group of ferrets are from the recent seizure of
110 ferrets from a hoarder/collector in Titusville,
FL. All 110 were being kept in a 25' X 25' shed, free
roam(not caged) with very little food and water. They
are now temporarily residing at Ferrets-N-Limbo
shelter under the direction of Michelle Alverson. For
the past few weeks, they have been triaging these
ferrets: providing them with necessary
vet care,
vaccinating and ADV testing them. To relieve the
burden on Michelle's shelter, we are transferring some
of these ferrets to other ferret shelters. All
shelters have been screened by myself and Michelle.
From there, these shelters will care for them and
adopt them out to screened and approved homes.
This group of 13 consists of 6 males and 7 females.
All are neutered/spayed. All have been vaccinated and
ADV tested(negative). All ferrets will be traveling in
fully equipped carriers along with their paperwork.
There will be 7 carriers altogether. One medium/large
and 6 standard(small?) carriers. All the ferrets have
amicable, sweet temperments. One little girl is in a
carrier by herself...she loves people but HATES other
ferrets.
