hermitman64 -YAY!!! Someone who can understand my obsessions!!!

Vanilla_Rat - I wonder if snake skin will make an half decent wallpaper? The display collection might get quite huge though,& I don't want no more collections,I go overboard with collections

I keep some skin shed aside and give it to kids who are interested.

Sheds make excellent art material for all kinds of projects. Either air-brushed or left natural and stitched together they could be used for high quality "wrapping paper" for special gifts - especially for people who appreciate reptilian motifs. Also, if you know any metal-smiths/jewelers, see if they want to use it to texture their metal. Put through a rolling mill with annealed sterling, copper, bronze, or brass, I think it would create excellent patterns. Even little pieces of it just by itself could be put on a backing and made into inserts that could be bezel set into earrings/etc. Also, I can think of a lot of projects that you could do using pieces of antler or bone in combination with the shed skins. The nice thing is that if you find the antlers or bones in the woods, you don't have to kill anything to make your animal art. Just get creative, I'm sure you can think of something. <-Steve->

You could donate it to a museum if they want it. When I had snakes I just kept their shed skin cuz it as cool... When one of my snakes died I even kept its body (and I still have it somewhere...)Eww! Its also fun to keep it to track their growth. I kept my crayfishes 1st moult and would compare it to his other moults to see how much he grew. If all else fails, you could make a sweater out of it! JK, JK!
