My snake was so cuddley when we got him but now he strikes and just dosen't want to be held and im not sure is he is a boy or a girl and I have heard girls are more agressive than boys so if you think you know why my snake is so mean than please post back asap

I think people could help you better if you give some more information.

What kind of snake is it? What's it's setup like? Has anything changed lately other than it not allowing you to hold it anymore?

Yeah more information could help.

I think you side before that you have a corn snake.Some snakes just don't like to be picked up or held or you could be frightening him/her make sure it know your not going to hurt it.

Do you feed it inside it's own cage or transfer it to another cage to feed? Definitely more info is needed in order to sort out what's going on with your snake.

Do you feed the snake in the tank?

Feeding the snake in the tank could cause it to strike - it thinks it food.You should always feed snakes in another container such a a Tupperware or rubber maid (of the appropriate size) this should help with striking and also eliminate the risk of impactation (sp) from bedding.
If your not already doing this I would recommended that you start.Don't be afraid e to pick up the snake just be sure you don't grab it near its head as it could find this a threat,instead pick up th snake gently from around the middle and support the rest of its body and never force and snake to go somewhere it doesn't want to, gently move the snake to where you want it to go.

part of it could be when you got him, he was young and scared and didn't strike, but later he got more confident, and purhaps reached maturity and now strikes...

never known many snakes to be "cuddlely" when healthy and big

Some snakes just bite because unlike dogs or cats and some lizards they don't form a 'bond' with their owner, they don't really care if they want to bite they'll bite.
