Thumbs up

Prissy ate!

It has been 5 months and Priscilla ate last night. I was so happy to see her eat. She decided she didn't like live ones anymore, she wanted frozen, so she gets frozen and Sheba gets live. She has to be picky, right? That is OK, I will go into town and get her frozen food every week if that make her happy

You should be feeding frozen anyway. Its much safer for your snake. I could show you some pretty graphic pictures of snakes torn apart by their food, but I would rather not make everyone reading the thread ill.

I tried frozen on Sheba and I feed her rats I raise. Yes. I know what rats can do to a snake Sheba was eaten on by a rat, she was about dead. The rat was left in her tank to long and got hungry. So I know what live rats can do.Her spinal cord was exposed. But I can't make Sheba eat frozen, she likes the live ones. She will not eat frozen. We have tried.

My snake has not eaten for a few weeks either. And he wont eat frozen - it HAS to move. He is killing them but then doesn't eat. I have tried twice in the past 4 weeks to no avail. I noticed his heat wasn't as high as usual (I have had a hard time regulating it in this new tank) so I added a new light bulb so I am hoping the higher heat works and I will try another mouse. He kills them immediately so I am not worried too much about the mouse getting to him but I watch to make sure.

I am glad one of us is has an eating snake!
