Red Tailed Boa

My friend has a red tailed boa, he is a little over five feet long. With each shed he seems to be turning more pinkish (like a salmon color). Is this normal? I looked online and I could not find anything.

I've a boa about the same size. She always looks muck paler pink after shedding, it's normal enough so don't worry. Snakes change colour quite a lot as they grow older anyway, it's hard to tell what a young snake will look like when it grows up sometimes.
