Snouted Cobra from Central South Africa

This is my Snouted Cobra from Central South Africa. It is a very close subspecies of the African Egyptian cobra.

All true cobras are venomous to some degree yes. The proteins making up the toxin is predominantly neurotoxin. This means that the victim’s central nervous system is attacked by the toxin.
In short the victim becomes paralysed and suffocates to death. Different cobra species have different strengths. One can cause slight side effects as in being seriously ill for a day while another species could cause a human system to shut down after about 30 minutes to an hour depending on the severity of the envenomation.

so can you handle these snakes
I have a corn snake but he is very very tame and is handled often but even still he has bitten a couple times. Painless but accidental on his part. both times i put him an encounter with a preditor or prey and he made a mistake and bit me instead
