Sorry missed this question. I am a volunteer snake catcher and rescue these animals from humans. These animals are suffering huge environmental damage to human development. These animals are running out of places to live due to human encroachment. When these animals mistakenly find themselves in urban areas human destroy them due to ignorance and believed myths.

Yes by a Cape Cobra. Spent 7 days in ICU. I refused anti-venom so was kept alive on machines. The venom attacks the central nervous system so the victim stops breathing and asphyxiates to death. Not nice trust me.
Every thing body wise stops except the hearing and the brain functions so the word vegetable comes to mind.
Solitary confinement in ones self is a memorable punishment

Amongst other things anti-venoms is manufactured from horse blood. Due to personal reasons I cannot take blood into my system as a medical cure.

Snakes are not deadly. People are as I know what to expect from a snake were people are generally a mystery.

but they sure can be deadly...unfortuanatly just like people can be, when provoked .
I think that Snakes are not 100% predictable even to those who know all about them. So one cant always know what to expect them to do. Just like people...unpredictable, dangerous. If not respected and treated with care.

Shaun,You sure have one dangerous job!!
