Well, I don't have them but I knew people who did. I heard they can make good pets but usually don't like to be handled. They are more for watching.

hmm inbetween the first link and the petsmart care one... there is a huge size difference listed.. petsmart says up to 10 inches and the first link has the body 15-17" and the tail 14"-16" and between 8-15 lbs... thats a big lizard...

When do you plan on getting an armadillo?
I think they are cute but i dont think i would have one as a pet cuz i like to cuddle my pets. Like mentioned they are not cuddly type animals.

I have one! finally I get to be helpful! I've never met anyone with another one and I never seen another in a store. I found mine at PETCO of all [places. shes my first lizard ever. honestly mine is not very nice and does not like or tolerate being handled. they also have major trouble being moved from one place to another. if the temp gets just a little too cold the won't eat for a while. mine hates vegetables and live crickets. no matter what the pet store says they will hit u with their tale and try to bite when they are mad. I've never been bit but the tail has drawn blood. they are very tolerant of other animals around them and they love to climb. she really hasn't been to hard to care for but I kinda freaked out when I came home from school and she wouldn't eat. I found it was because my house is colder than the dorm. shes good now in my apartment and I still pick her up regularly but she runs and usually pitches a fit if I hold her for any length of time. Shes been a handful but I still love her. I think I'm going for a croc lizard next.
