I have heard from people that it is not good and that most of the time Iguana's will not eat out of bowls...well our two year old eats out of one every day(heres proof) also our 6 month old and our 1 month old eat out of bowls and love it...in fact Iglue dosen't like eating out of any thing else...

While working at a pet store and working with reptiles they all used bowls. I don't really think they mind eating out of bowls it is the food they might be having problems with. I had two bearded dragons that used to eat off of a spoon. When we finally sold the pair we had to tell the new owner that he had to give them a little of their food on a spoon so they feel special.

I am not the expert but I think Lizgirl or Toirtis should be able to help you out!

That's what I was thinking .. but someone was complaining about it ... saying they don't eat out of them in the wild and you should feed them on plates .. but in the wild they don't eat off plates either!!! As far as I am concerned as longs as he's eating and happy ... what's the difference?

Berdy, you got the eating part right. That is what is most important. Isaac eats from and drinks from a bowl. It took him a while to learn to drink but eating came naturally. He occaisonally eats dandelion leaves or rose petals from our hands otherwise he eats regularly from his bowls.

We took a trip with him ... and while we were there we tried feeding him out of something else .. and he flat out refused to eat until we begin putting the food in his dish again .. he loves his dish!!
