he is eating good and is active (as much as normal anyway.. you know iguanas) and is pooping everyday and has good color other than his spots. i just hope its something treatable and doesnt hurt him in the long run.

went to the vet earlyier! he got an antibiotic shot poor baby got a shot, and is on anti biotics now one squirt a day. they made it banana flavored for me my vet was really nice and the lady nurse had an iguana for 16 years so she knows alot about them. he is also on calcium now (just a precaution because he probably didnt have the best care when he was little before the pet store) but my invorment is right and his food is right and im really happy. they said other than his skin problem (most likely a bacterial infection) (that i didnt cause) he is healthy and they said that he was really tame and alert for his size they said that i knew more about iguanas than most so im way excited.! im so glad i took him because they can die from what he has. and probably would have if i ignored it.

YAY!! that's good news. I know they do need calcium dust on their food like once a week (depending how much they ingest when eating it) and then vitimin D will help absorb it. So that's why UVB and UVA bulbs are necessary. Good luck w/the lil guy *(what's his name)* and u'll have to post some pix of his cage and him we love pix here on paw talk!!!

i only have half set up but i will take a picture soon. hes in a 10 gal tank this week because he has been excaping his big cage, and my vet said he can stay in the ten gal for another week or 2. I got an iguana paradise cage, then covered it with smaller plastic chicken wire stuff. last time he tried to get out he got stuck in the 1/2 in hole and i had to cut him out and he got a sore on his leg so im waiting until he gets a tad fatter, and tamer. hes 1000 times tamer than when i got him though!!! so in a way his health issue is kinda a good thing. because he has to be messed with to squirt anti biotics, and calsium, and put his cream on, and give him a bath each day so he has to grow to like me

cool I remember when my lil guy, Puff (the chinese water dragon) got sick and had to get antibiotics and one big shot of it too. He grew to like me b/c he loved the taste of the stuff they gave me.... i actually think his was banana too Within 3 days he would await me comeing to his cage and get excited knowing he'd get to eat some
