He's getting tamer!! - Paw Talk

Today is a memorable day for me and my iguana. Today is the first day that Kermit was allowed to be loose in my room with out a leash, he sat on my bed and walked across the floor waiting for me to grab him and scold him for being out.

when i just pet him he was happy and wanted to explore more but then threw a fit when i touched his tail so i made him go back to his cage.

Tomorrow we will do this again!

I'm so excited. He didn't run away or anything when i went to pet him and even leaned into my hand to have his back scratched!!

Does he poop when he's out exploring? Just wondering...

he's about 10 inches snout to vent and almost 2 1/2 feet with tail.

Nope he's never pooped when hes out exploring just once or twice in the tub and always in the same spot in his cage.

Kendalle, I read your description of how big he was at first (and please, keep in mind that I have not slept in a couple of nights very well) and I thought you said he was about 2 1/2 ft. tall! Haaa haaaa! Oh, I crack myself up, scare myself a little at times too!

Ive seen some very mean Iguana's that were scary

not good at all

I don't think kermit has a scary heart... he tries to be big and fierce but can't pull it off.

I think most of the aggressive lizards are poorly treated or teased and that's why they're like that. SAD!

I volunteered at a exotic pet store and we had people bring back iguana's because they were "too mean" and then as soon as we soaked the lizards daily and gave them treats they thought they were like LAP DOGS

It took over a month but we knew that they just wanted LOVE!

We gave him fresh veggies

Like hand fed him lil pieces of shredded carrot or a grape.

I think he thought they were treats cuz his former owners were bad at giving him fresh stuff

I'm not sure if he looks "exactly" like that, but I think he is really BIG!
