i feel so loved, it makes me sad
I went to chicago for 4 nights, and 5 days, and my roommate agreed to take care of my iguana Kermit.
Well, the fist night that my roommate fed him, he ate, but after that he didn't touch his food, and he never pooped when I was gone. I got back last night, and he ate his WHOLE bowl of food, and pooped twice, and today he ate his whole bowl of food, and I was sitting in his cage with him and he came down, and crawled on my lap and snuggled.
I feel so loved, he knows my roommate, so I didn't think he would starve himself like i've heard they sometimes do when not with their normal person.
I feel bad that I left him now, but am glad that he is ok. And feel good that he really does love me, or at least likes me and trusts me, or at the very least, thinks i'm a good salad cook.
Anyway, I had to share.

aww that is very cute Alot people thinks reptiles arent loving but i think thats because they dont spend enuf time with thier reptile. when my gecko was a baby he would curled up in my hand and nap. it was just because my hand was warm but i was amaze he trust me so much. i soud like you is a great iguana owner.

yea, i know, i don't really think snakes could care less about their people most of the time. I don't think its because they are unable, i just think its not in their nature to not care, just like cats, some cats just don't care for the people as much as others.. not because they're brain can't love, or something like that, simply they think they own their people.
But lizards i think can, or at least some of them. I hate it when people say oh your iguana just comes to your for your warmth, if that was the case he would come to ANY person for warmth, or dog, or cat, or anything like that....
