Sadly enough that is what most people think when they first purchase an iguana. Little do they know that within a year they will grow to be 2 ft. long. They continue to grow about a foot a year until they reach their adult length which can be 5-7ft. long. They can also be very aggressive as adults if not trained well when young. They are not a child's pet. I am not trying to scare anyone, because they can be great pets. One must however know what they are getting into and take responsibility for the pet they are purchasing or inheriting.
