Lewis shedding

I managed to catch Lewis shedding on Friday (19th) so I went ahead and took some quick pictures because he just looked so interesting in his little 'envelope' of skin.

For those who don't know crested geckos (or most geckos) eat their skin, so I felt pretty good about catching it before he consumed it all.

Anywho... PICTURES

they shed as they grow so quite often when young and slower as they get older.

Some people never catch them shedding as they normally eat it all before you notice that they are going to shed.

Thats right! They will shed as they are growing. More often when young and then they slow down.

I was pretty lucky to catch him shedding

Cool pictures!

I've only caught Haku shedding once, although I do see him in preshed often, when his skin turns that white color right before he sheds.

I have a video somewhere of the one time I actually saw him shed. He's in one of his hides and you can see him rubbing against the sides to help get the shed off and eating it and everything. It's pretty interesting.

I only manage to catch Ghana shedding. Zimbi has taken to sleeping in the moist hide but I never see her shedding. You were really lucky!!!
