Thumbs up

New enclosure!

I got Haley's new house today! It's bigger than I was expecting, so I'm glad I didn't go with the even bigger one I was going to order, lol. I wound up with the 65 gal mesh enclosure. I cannot believe I paid $20 for that cheesy tray that goes in it though I also got some of those bend a branch things, those look very nice and I wish I'd ordered more! Now I have to go out and buy some little trees to go in it! I'll try to get some pics in the next couple days

I know what you mean about the price, but once you use it for a while you'll find it worth it. They are so easy to clean (just hose them off and shake 'em out) and if you're handy with a needle and thread any damage can be quickly repaired... though, they are quite sturdy. My larger one is starting to get holes in it, but I have been keeping mammals in it so they tend to be a little more destructive.

Here it is all set up, it's not a great picture but I'll try again tomorrow when her lights are on.

She's got 2 hibiscus trees (blooming right now, very pretty), 3 pothos plants, 18' worth of "bend a branches" (she seems to like those) and about 12' of regular fake vines. She really seems to like it, but as much as I hate to say it she seems to only go in the top left 1/4 of it :-/ Oh well, I'm very proud of the setup, I just hope I can keep the plants alive! I've got to go get new thermometers though since her others are stuck on the tank.

BTW, she hangs on the mesh in front of the heat light, is that bad? She's not hanging upside down or anything, and the mesh is small enough that her toes won't get stuck. I moved the lamp about 3-4 inches away so she couldn't burn herself (outside of the enclosure).

Hey Rav, how did you put the softray in? I'm not sure if I did it right, but I put it over the frame. It's in between the poles and the mesh, is that right? That was the only way I could get it to not collapse in

Good job Becki girl! Haley's new home is ravishing! I'm sure she's loving it, I use those 'Reptarium' cages as well and I love them. As Rav said they are very easy to take care of and clean.
Although I'm just housing some desert species in them right now I used to have two whites tree frogs in the largest one, but it was a chore to keep the humidity where it needed to be. Anyway I'm getting of the subject!
I think you did a very good job.
