new leopard gecko owner!!!!!YAY - Paw Talk

Hello all............i had to go out and replace my sons lizards this morning....we originally bought 3 green anoles, of which there was only 1 left yesterday when we got out of bed,....so, in short, we bought a long tailed anole to live with the green anole, then we bought another setup including a Leopard Gecko...he/she is amazing!!......we wanted a lizard we could handle now and again, and thats just what we got!!........

will sex it and post pics if possible

we decided to name him/her "joey"........with him/her being a leopard, we named him after the def leppard singer, joey elliot, LoL

On a sidenote, do you do Tae Kwon Do? (lol)

If so, what style -- Olympic Style(WTF) or ITF?

Been doing WTF TKD for 7 years, left the tournament scene about 3 years ago, though ;]

im an ex kickboxer myself, but i have 3 kids who all do WTF TaeKwonDo, good instructor, ex-world champion mike kontomatis(4th degree black belt).
my 2 eldest are north of england champions for their age group (7 and 13), and are both at green belt blue tag level.

Oh awesome! Good to hear you're learning from a real instructor! So many phonies out there ;[. I was champion for the state of Maryland here in the U.S. in my weight division from 2003-2005...but I broke an opponent's nose in one of my matches with a spin hook and decided to stop there. They still gave me the win, because it was unintentional. Felt so bad though...then I was just an extreme forms competitor for a while.

I have 2 leopard geckos,Asda& Geico

They are amazing little guys.
Asda is a girl,Geico is a boy (& yes I keep them in seperate enclosures

)

I have 2 leos as well.Mystta (female) and Bear (male).They live together tho,but get along quite well.

^^^& they are adorable

My male Geico can be quite evil though,so even though Asda is barren I can't put them together since he'd terrorize her.
(He scratched her before,previous owner said,so I was told to keep them seperate & you can just tell he'd not be good with others...he's the real little predator though! I lovers him

They have different personalities altogether.
I do think Asda could possibly live with other geckos (don't know if she ever did or not,previous owner never mentioned& I never asked) .Other leopard geckos I mean!! I wouldn't throw a tokay in with her.Different altogether

But she has that personality that just might go along with others.
Haven't decided if I'm going to get another couple geckos in the future to put in with her [if they get along] or just keep everyone seperate.
I kinda like the seperate idea just have a large aquarium seperated with dividers.
More for me to decorate

My geckos do get along,but last night during cricket hunting,they were too close to eachother and Mystta latched on to Bear's tail,because there was a cricket nearby.It was an accident and he was fine.He seemed a little agitated after that,but he was alright.

my leopard geckos named tiger ^^ i got her when i was like 10 and was living in the present so i didnt think about the fact that they get leopard spots when they grow up. now its sorta ironic

Not all of the morphs have leopard spots!
My girl,Mystta is a blizzard morph and has NO spots at all.

oh well i knew that

i didnt until a few years ago.
i really need to figure out when i got tiger. im thinking 3rd or 4th grade. or 2nd. i have no idea :O
but now im going into 9th, so tigers AROUND 5,6,7?

but i got her at petco..
and i know now that was probably bad because supposedly petco animals are like
mass produced.
it makes sense being that its such a big chain and they need alot of animals.
so shes probably inbred

but my point is petco probably doesnt sell that many interesting variations of leopard gecko colors.
