I am not familiar with Agamas, however I will share the information that I have find and links that should be helpful.

It appears that agamas are newer to the pet trade and not widely studied yet. Many websites give a basic overview of needs.

Most suggest that you do research in recent magazines since they are the most up-to-date with their information. At least that is what we hope. You might be able to check out these magazines from your local library. The issues #'s I've listed are ones that specifically discuss Starre Agamas.

Reptile Hobbyist, Issue 2:10, Author CRM
International Reptilian, Issue 3:7, Author - David Buttle

One website described the breed as timid in the wild, but agreeable and tame in captivity. It also said that one in particular would perform a morning ritual to be fed and did not repeat the ritual again until the next morning. This site gave references to other materials you might want to investigate further. http://www.nafcon.dircon.co.uk/laudakia_stellio.htm

I hope this was helpful. If you decide to to take one on, you might be furthering reptile knowledge. Just make sure you are getting it from a reputable breeder and not wild caught. We do not want to perpetuate specie depletion,

I dont know if this is a good choice for me because of the large habitat they require. I think ill just stick with the leopard geckos or something smaller.

That is probably a safe decision for now. You may decide with further research that sometime in the future you will want one.
