Sayonara Clayton

After much deliberation, I decided that being a full-time mommy and pet owner to 4 lizards was too much. So I started looking for people who I could trust to give a few of my cold-blooded babies a good home.

A couple weeks ago I met a friend through another reptile forum and decided that he would be a good new papa for Clayton. So I packaged Clayton in a sock in a padded box and shipped him of to Minnasota.

He is now co-habitating with Lily, another collared lizard, and he also might be a papa. I am still waiting for confirmation from Clayton's new owner.

It was really hard to let him go, but I think it was the best for both of us. Someday when Thomas is older we will have another pair or more of collared lizards.

How sad! I hope he does okay! You made the right decision for your family and found him a good home!

Liz... I'm sorry you had to part with one of your babies, but at least you made the right choice & found him a good home! AND... with him being in "Minn-e-snow-ta" j/k Minnesota maybe I can go see him for you! ( Hey I tried )

Cool

Tough decision to make, but I know that you gave it a lot of thought before you made a move. Doesn't keep you from being sad though.

Will his new family send you pix so you can see him in his new home?

Clayton's new owner doesn't have a digital, but has friends who do. So eventually I will probably see pictures of him. I know that he is being treated very well.
