Biscuit was speyed today!
Just thought I better tell you guys that biscuit was speyed today! She was so funny cause she was refusing to go under the anaesthetic properly and when we put her on the table to clip and scrub her her legs were straight upn the air like she had been frozen! Ok course she was properly under before we started surgery!!
I started to really question the intelligence of the woman I got her from cause it took us a while to find her uterus and the vet started asking if I was positive she had been on heat! But we found it so all is good! I've left her at work to recover and I'll be picking her up in a couple of hours.
It was a quick decision made on Friday to get her done today cause she starts training in just 13 days and I didn't want to leave until after training cause she'd be getting close to going back into season again. I'm guessing she'll be all sooky when I get her home!

Glad to hear biscuit's doing good! Is she all the way awake yet? Claudia took about 2 days but Scrappy only took about 2 hours to be bouncing off the walls again

Well the grog meister is home! I nearly didn't get to take her home...I went in and she wouldn't even lift her head...she was just snoring away! I decided I'd pick her up at 10pm (when I finish tafe) but when I went to say goodbye she stood up, we opened the cage and off she went! So we decided I'd take her home now. she got outside the vet clinic, took ten steps and stopped so I carried her to the car! She is now on her bed with a sheet and a blanket over her to keep her warm. Her colour is good, just extremely groggy....if she was anyone elses animal she wouldn't have gone home today. The joys of working for a vet!!haha

Will do Jane!!! She has warmed up a lot so that's a good sign! She was really cold when I got her home.

Glad to hear it went well, Kali was like that after her spay surgery, hers was really intense though and it was basically a life saving surgery. She has also lost a lot of blood during it and was really pale and very cold afterwards, but with a lot of vitamins and warm blankets and LOTS of TLC, she recovered very well. I'll have to tell you sometime the circumstances surrounding it and you'll see why her's was so touch and go. Give Biscuit a lot of TLC from me too! She's such a pretty girl!

Her temp is back to normal and she has just gotten off her bed and come into the study to see me. I'm getting ready for work so I better go and let her out....I just wanted to lets you guys know that she is recovering well!
And Mandie yes I want to know Kali's story!
