Biscuit's Training Update!
Ok well we go back to training tonight for our second class and Biscuit is doing so well with what we had to teach our dogs this week!! I can tell her to sit with me being a fair bit away from her with my back turned and she will come and sit in front of me! At first she wouldn't drop, (she only drops on her bed) and we had to coax her by taking a treat under my legs and making her get it that way. The first night we tried it she couldn't understand what we wanted her to do but now I pull that treat from her nose to the ground and she drops...no legs to crawl under! She is excellent on the loose leash thing and we are getting further and further every day. She also taught herself a new trick. I was telling her to go on to her bed and click/treating her for it (we have to take their beds tonight) and she did this little leap thing in the air. I was really surprised that she did it but I just kept working with her on it and she has taught herself the command 'leap'. I don't know that it will be useful for anything but she does this little run up and looks like she is doing long jump so it's quite cute!! I don't have her jump over anything and she doesn't get far off the ground so I'm not worried about her jumping fences etc.
I am also teaching her to be a 'ballerina!' Every time I feed her she gets so excited that she does 360's all the way to the bathroom so I'm trying to teach her to do that o command cause it's just so darn cute and I thought it would make for a good party trick if I told people that my dog was a ballerina!
Just wanted to let you guys know that she is doing great and she is really enjoying it too!! As soon as I get the treat pouch out she is sitting and focused, ready to go! She is packing on the weight though so she is getting a cut back in her meals from now on to make up for all these treats!

I knew she would do well The bully breeds are so much more intelligent then they would like you to think (except Chunk of course )

Mandie this probably osunds dumb but I can actually see her little brain ticking over thinking what does mum want me to do, then once she fully understands something she snorts and pants and her tongue hangs out the side of her mouth! it's so cute!

ok well she went on Monday night again and was completely useless!! she was so excited and she actually vomited she got herself that worked up!!! So obviously her attention span was zero on Monday night but she's been coming along here at the house wonderfully! She's now being trained in the yard...more distractions for her to get her to really focus on me!
