Brandy's Spay

Today my foster beagle, Brandy went to be spayed.I didn't go in with her.A couple of women from the organization took her in for me and brought her back after supper...

Oh my gosh, I feel so bad! Brandy looks so pitiful. She is still drugged up a bit and groggy from the anesthectics and she as drooling abit when they brought her, that was maybe an hour ago.She is now sleeping in her crate, but it was such a sin...she looked so pitiful. She was shaking and had the saddest face. Now she will be sore for a few days and I wonder what is going through her mind.I wonder if she is thinking "what did I do?".It is so pitiful.

Otherwise her spay went greyt! Now that she is spayed, she may have a better chance at being adopted.

it's hard on both of you, but think of it this way it's alot easier than having litter after litter of pups. i understand completely though!

Thanks everyone.Brandy seems to be a little better today, just very sore.I took her out on a short walk to do her pee and I only took her up the street which normally is a 2 minute walk...but this morning it was a 10 minute walk, as she was so sore that she was very slow. She slept the whole night without getting up, except once to have a drink of water. But today she had a small meal, but is back to lying down and looking sad...poor girl.I cannot help but wonder what is going through her mind.I had a c-section, so I can relate to the healing process, I know how sore you are...poor Brandy!

Yeah, Brandy already had a litter of pups as I posted before, but sadly they all died. Now that she is fixed, the same thing won't happen.

aww poor girl I hope she feels better soon! I know they just look so pitiful after being fixed. My girl Cali looked so pathetic after she came home from the vet after being spayed I felt so guilty, but of course it is for the best. Weird thing with her though was she didn't sulk around for too long afterwards, she was begging to go out the next morning for a walk and was back to her old self. Crazy dog
