burrs are evil!

my dogs escaped for about 20 min yesterday and wen i got them back they were completely covered in burrs! i had to sit there and cut them out attempting to save as much fur as possible....... they look horrible! they have little bald patches all over...... i mean..... i did laugh alot wen i looked at them after i finished there little haircut... they look halarious! but i was wondering in case this happens again..... is there a better way to get out burrs?????

My horses are constantly getting into burrs! It's really fun trying to get them out of long manes and tails. I use baby oil and it seems to help them slide out easier. I've only had to cut them out a few times and that's because one of my horses had them wound up so tight in her mane that the baby oil wasn't helping too much.

My Snooper gets into the burrs too, drives me insane. Unfortunately I don't have any advice... but I so sympathize with you!
