citrus bad for dogs?

i was just wondering if giving your dog tastes of oranges or something like that is bad. i've heard that it's bad for them. is it?

We used to live on a citrus orchard with grapefruit, oranges and lemons and the dogs would eat the fruit that fell sometimes. No one ever got sick from it at our house

I hope its not bad for dogs. Tiny licks my hands after I peel oranges. She must like the taste of them. Thanks for asking that question. I was wondering about that.
