Collapsible trachea?

Hey guys!

Well, Odie has alays done something strange, that I think it's collapsible trachea, but I've never confirmed it, and tonight I could catch it on video for the first time so you can see and tell me what you think. I feel so bad for him, whenever he does that I run to him and cuddle him. He usually does it when he's running around on when I have him on the leash tied to his collar (Most of the time I use a harness on him cause of this). Also when he gets overly excited he also does it. But simetimes he does it for no reason at all, like tonight... anyway... here is the video, let me know what you think.

my little yorkie had alot of problems like that, she had brachycephalic airway obstruction syndrome , the vet said it was common in little dogs and dogs with smushed faces...hers got really bad as she got older, hers sounded just like that but all the time...even though it was a regular thing with her it still would freak me out and I would also cuddle her like you do Odie...poor sweetie...

Sounds more like a reverse sneeze, to me. Gumbo does it frequently due to his elongated soft palate, even after surgery.

Here's a video of another dog reverse sneezing.

I also think it's a reverse sneeze. Frank does it a lot. Belle does it sometimes. Although she has been doing it more often lately.
I feel awful when Frankie does it but I thought I read somewhere it sounds worse than it is for the dog.
If you find out differently please let me know.
I also heard it called the Beagle wheeze. Someone with a beagle told me they do it really often.
