Collars

Uggg.... My dog Kibbles slips all his collars and harness, its not that he runs away , he always stays with me. Its that hes a slow walker and if Im walking other dogs that are pulling he behind and slips his collar.
Its bad because we can be crossing the road and he'll walk slow and then slip his collar and then I have no way of getting him to go faster unless I pull on his fur which makes it hard to keep any other dog(s) I'm walking in line.
We've tried everything. Collars and harness.
They fit right not to tight but not to lose.

Anybody have and suggestions?

Thanks, anything will help

dog collars should be tight enough that you can fit only two of your fingers between the dog and the collar, hope that helps

My Doberman's neck is fatter than her head and I can't make a regular collar stay on her if she pulls backwards (like when we go to the vet's office and she doesn't want to go in). I use a choke chain on her and it works just fine when she pulls backward. It has never slipped off her and it's not like I'm choking the heck out of her. Just keeping her from slipping the collar and escaping. Other than that she walks on the leash like a complete angel.

If you don't like the idea of a choke chain you can look into those special collars they make for greyhounds. I can't think of what they call them but it looks like they're made of nylon.
