Colleen update 1/3/07
Poor thing is feeling worse. Her areas of missing fur are spreading and she is scratching more. On the plus side, I just got off the phone with the vet. His dermotologist friends agree with the Houston Collie Rescue- Colleen needs to be treated with a dip. The dermotologist recommended more frequent dips than the rescue did, so I'm going to go with their recommendation. She'll be dipped once a week for 6 weeks and then get another skin scrapping. They're estimate anywhere between 6 and 12 dips.
I'll be leaving work in about a half hour to drop her off to be shaved and dipped. Due to possible side effects of the dip, the vet wants to keep her overnight (free of charge) for observation.
Keep your fingers crossed that she tolerates the dip well and feels better soon!

Yeah!! They are going to do the dips. Thank goodness for that anyway. I hope all goes well and Colleen can get over this as soon as possible!!
