Czechoslovakian Wolfdog/Saarloos Wolfhond

Anyone own one of these two breeds? If so I have a few questions about them. I love them so much but they are hard to find.

1. Do they make good apartment dogs? Keep in mind we have a nice park just outside the apartment and we like to go for walks and bike rides but I know some dogs just weren't meant for apartment life.

2. What kind of general temperment does the breed have? Dominant, submissive, more wolf-like etc.

3. Do they seem very interested in activities such as Obstacle Course or Search and Rescue or something? I'm very interested in learning to do some of these.

I know that each dog can be different but just a general idea of the breed from someone who actually owns them would be great. We really want to get a second dog in a couple of years and the more I look around the more I become very curious about these two breeds.

Have you tried looking for breeders online? A good breeder will give you the information about the dog or tell you where to find it. They are usually quite happy to talk to you about the breed they love.

I haven't heard of these breeds,so I cannot tell you anything.But try doing a search or as Jennawing said,try looking for a breeder and talk to them.They are definatly a rare breed!

I finally found some breeders in Holland and have e-mailed them. I first found out about them on-line and was reading general write ups about the breed but I have learned it is best to ask people who actually own them.
