Dakota(Bad news)

I had to give Dakota back to the breeder that I got her from.It was something that had to be done.We loved her very much and I really miss her ugly mug.Things were going good for a few days.WE soon found out she hates the vacum cleaner.My DIL was vaccuming the other day and she attacked the cleaner which I must say was very funny.Sad thing was she will also attack the children if they have a noisy toy.She went after the 2 older ones a few times but only trying to get the noisy toy.
Mathew is now 9 months old and crawling.He crawled past her Monday evening he didn't touch her and she growled at him.
My DIL and I talked about it and decided it was best for everyone to give her back.I feared for both her life and the children,If she would of bitten one hubby would of killed her on the spot without thinking.It has been very hard the past few days.Madison loved the dog and she was heartbroken when I took her back.My son brought Taylor to work Tuesday afternoon to spend with me and he cried when I put Di in the cage.He said he really loved her.

I did give it my best.The one thing I do regret is not getting her spayed before I gave her back.
I think the lady is trying to trade her for another pair of breeding dogs.Uggh Their is a bulldog on my message forum for trade that matches Dakotas profile.I pm her and asked a few questions she didn't know it was me.She replied with the dog was sold.She never said on the forum that Dakota shouldn't be breed.Just that she has had a litter of pups and doesn't like other dogs.I am hoping I am wrong as she has alot of dogs.The vet said she should be spayed after aborting 2 litters.I was waiting till she recovered from this last litter she lost to have her spayed so she would never have to go thru that again.

Awwww, Runt, you did the best you could. Don't beat yourself up over that-You should ask her flat out if she is trying to sell Dakota and ask her if she will tell the new owners she cannot be breed.

I'm sorry things didn't work out for Dakota but you did your best. Hopefully things will work out for her and that person won't sell her to someone trying to make a quick buck on puppies.

I really hate this for you and your family, Runt. We can get attached so quickly, can't we?

The thing about English bulldogs that always makes me wonder is that they cannot breed naturally - they always have to AI. I guess this kind of goes with the cloning. If they can't get the job done on their own, isn't someone trying to tell us that the breed should just kind of go into extinction? And a lot of it comes from breeders trying to get that certain look for the dog.

Sorry - didn't mean to soap box, but I've dealt with some crazy breeders. But it's not fair that they take advantage and hurt you and your kids.
