That's a lot of diarrhea, so I can understand your concern. How long has this been happening?? With that much diarrhea, dehydration could become an issue. It's usually fairly safe to give them some electrolyte solution (like pedialyte). BUT, I'd recommend calling your vet. They may just tell you to withhold food for 24 hours and see what happens, but they may also want to see the pup. There could be tons of reasons for diarrhea. The food could be the problem; I'm not familiar with the brand, but pups can be sensitive to just about anything. Also, pups that age tend to get into things they shouldn't. Are there chemicals, plants or anything else around...they are very creative at getting to things you think they can't.

Good luck...I'm sorry I can't offer a better "diagnosis" but, like I said, diarrhea can mean lots of things.

good morning,
sorry to hear your nephew furbaby is sick. Calling the vet or going in for a visit is your best bet. it sounds like it's the rich food but who knows. could be parasite or something. make sure your sil gives him plenty of fluids. keep us posted on how the little darling is doing & post a pic if you have one.

I would call the vet and haver her bring the puppy in ASAP... it could be several different things... If her little kids are feeding the dogs their food that IS NOT a good thing and can be VERY dangerous... a little kid doesn't know what to or what not to feed a dog is it possible the dog ate some chocolate??? this could kill a dog if a child gave that to it.... I also have young children... My kids are not allowed to give food to my dogs nor do I leave them unsupervised with them ever.
I hope the puppy is feeling better soon.

Glad the pup is feelin' better! If having a doggie is a new experience for your sister, you might recommend some intro books on the subject for her. I'm not trying to sound preachy or anything, it's just that if she knows the basics she really might be able to save on unexpected vet bills later; not to mention the pup will be happier!
