Dog coats/sweaters
Now that the weather is getting colder, do you provide coats or sweaters for your dogs?

Nope. Even in winter, Louisiana doesn't get cold enough.

Haha, I've yet to find a coat or sweater that will actually fit my Great Dane. She shivers like a baby but she does that even in the heat so I think it's just an anxiety/excitement thing (she's done it since she was a pup). She wears booties in the winter though because her paws get all cut up on ice.

Scrappy wears coats and boots mainly to keep him clean and dry at our renovation project. It makes it much easier when we get home to just brush him out rather than having to bathe him after each visit. Besides he loves wearing clothes lol I have to hide them away from him and only bring them out when I want him to wear something otherwise he nags to get a coat on.

I got a parka for Mirra and a hoodie for Sydnee last year and they looked so cute! Jeff won't put them on when he takes them for walks because he said dogs shouldn't wear clothes.

I have a ton of sweaters for my Cocker Spaniel, Sophie, because she can be a bit sensitive to the cold. Rocky has a sweater but because dachshunds are shaped kind of weirdly he tends to walk out of it by accident .

Theres a big parade here every year. When I had Loki (a cairn terrior) he would shiver in the cold. For the next parade I was going to buy him a fleece sweater but sadly he died before the next parade.
My aunt has greyhounds, and she puts not a sweater, but like a heavy thick cloak thing on them when she takes them outside.

It doesnt get really cold here at the coast, but we do have a sweater & a little yellow rain coat for Elvis Lee. Problem is...he does not like wearing clothes! Any suggestions on how to get him used to clothes?
Here are some pics of him trying to pull off a jacket when he was about 3 months old

Aw! Look at him! All I can say is maybe get something a little looser? Or cut his hair down a bit before he wears his clothes. Some dogs just don't like it, though.
Chaquita needs one in the winter a little, but she doesn't like it. But Penny wears one every winter. She just keeps it on 24/7 until winter's gone.
Here's Penny in her two jerzee sweaters. They're great cause they're like human's Hanes sweatshirts and not too bulky (I got them at PetCo).
