Dog Genes


I saw this article on msnbc and thought you all might be interested. It's kind of cool what they are doing with genetics nowadays ... this article has some interesting stuff about breed origins.

The research suggests that Asian breeds are the most ancient. It says that even Shih-Tzus are more closely related (genetically) to wolves than German Shepards -- what an interesting thought. Grover ... my lil' wolf!!!

I read the article too! I think it's really facinating. It will be interesting to see what the future unfolds with this kind of genetic research and findings!

i read the article and it was quite interesting. funny to think that the big dogs that beat up my small dogs have something in common
