Dog got groomed, came home with Fleas help!!!!

Hello,
Im new to this forum and basically need some advise. I took my dog to a local PetSmart to get him groomed like I have been for the las 10 years. I've never had a problem with fleas or Petsmart. Well I picked him up this past Sunday took him home, but didnt notice anything till Monday morning when I took him out before I left for work, I noticed something on his head and when I got closer it ran into his fur. I knew right away what it was. A trip to the Vet and YEP!!! FLEAS!!! First off, its my fault since this is the first year I didnt put him on some sort of flea prevention, FRONTLINE or Advantix, so I blame no one but myself. The Vet put him on Advantix and it seems to be killing them, well I've seen 2 dead on him 2 hours after the application. But my question is (I know FINALLY) What should I do about my house? Any suggestions? So far I've used Zodiac furniture and carpet powder. I have leather couches and only one small rug in the bathroom. The rest is hardwood or cermic/vinly tiles. And I used Zodiac Furniture and carpet spray everywhere. I put my dog in a large kennel for now. Is that good bad? Any type of info will be appreciated. Thanks. Sorry this is so long.

If your dog sleeps in your room don't forget to wash all of your blankets too. Other than that I think you've got everything under control.

Yeah I think im still going to bomb my house. My family is really worried about it. Has anyone ever done this? Should I be worried about myself and fleas? Meaning what if they get on me like in my hair? Is there anything I should be washing myself with? Is there a people Advantix? Just kidding. Thanks for the help you guys.

I wouldn't worry about fleas and you, they have to be pretty bad before they start getting on you (I doesn't sound like you've got them nearly that bad) and even then, they won't live on you like they would a dog If you do bomb, make sure the bombs you buy kill fleas and follow the instructions carefully (enough bombs for your house, airing instructions...). I've never had much luck with the bug bombs.

Okay one more thing.. Im moving to a new place in a couple of weeks with my Fiance, the only reason I'm worried about bombing the place im in now is because my sister and her daughter are staying there after I leave. What can I do to make sure my dog is clean of fleas before I bring him to my new place just so my place doesnt get infested or whatever.
Thanks for the update on not worrying to much about myself and fleas, but id still like to take caution so im looking around for any possible shampoos and stuff.

Thanks
Paul
