Doggie Shower???

OK guys, as most of you know... I am getting a siberian husky service dog. Well I know this sounds kind of silly, but to me it's not. I am wanting to have a doggie shower for her! Like a baby shower. I can't have children so I figure this is as close as it gets! LOL!

It's gonna cost a ton of money for the initial setup for this dog (also I want to spoil her!)... and I also have to save for the trip and stay in Dallas to get her. Hotel, food, etc. I was thinking about inviting all my close friends when I get her to have a doggie shower/housewarming party. I'll make invites with a doggie "wish list" in them. What do y'all think? Maybe also I can make it a cyber party and turn on my webcam if my long distance pet friends wanna get involved!

Tell me seriously what y'all think of this!

I think that is a wonderful idea! I'd love if you have a webcam up so we could see all the cool stuff! You should spoil your new baby!

I think it is a wonderful idea! There was a story in Bird Talk one month about how this couple (this was a gay couple so the bird was their child) threw a "bird"mitzvah for their African Grey's 13th birthday. This was an all out 2 day event at only the most exsquisite of places. The night before the big event they had a casual type of "ball" and for the big even they were required to dress in either red or gray ball gowns. I am pretty sure that it was in NY. This thing cost thousands of dollars - 6 digit thousands! So don't think that you are being silly at all! Your true friends will be more than happy for you and would be overjoyed to participate!

She looks like what they call a red and white husky? I dunno, she could be a brown and white. But the lighting makes her appear to be a r&w.

yep, I believe she's a red husky----I'm not sure what they call the other color...black? grey? dunno, but it's the "other" color
