begin with I want to say that I don't give our dogs cooked bones anymore. We used to before the vets telling people not give their dogs bones. But this one time we gave our dog a pork chop bone. When Cisco chewed on it it splintered and had a sharp point on it. I was watching him in the yard. He was pooing allright. So i didn't think anthing was wrong. But I watched him when he was out in the yard. He started digging. He had never dug before. But I noticed after he dug down to cooler dirt, he turned around and put his butt in the cool moist dirt. He did this for a few days. So I thought I had better check. I checked his rectum. I could see something poking the skin. The skin wasn't torn. But the point of the bone was caught on the skin. So we took him to the vet. The vet Pushed the bone back in just a little until it wasn't poking the skin and pulled it out. He told us then don't give any more bones to our dogs. After the vet pulled the bone out Cisco kind of let out a sigh. We both laughed after I told the vet what he had been doing to relieve himself from the misery of the bone. Another time we had a GS puppy. At the time we got her, everybody worked. So we had to put her in a room until we got home from work. When i got home one day, she had torn all of the carpet up in that room. Well the next few days she was pooing pieces of carpeting. But one day I saw a long zipper in her poo. I looked at the zipper and it had leather on it. I couldn't think what it came from until my son went into the room that we had been keeping her in. He had his Black leather motorcycle type jacket in the closet in that room. She had gotten his jacket ate the zippers off the arms. But she had opened the door to the closet got the jacket and chewed on it in the closet then went out and shut the door, so we didn't know she had gotten to the jacket. And as anybody would be our son was furious at first until i told him we got his zippers back. He laughed then, even though he was upset.
