Fate: It is what it is... Like it or not :P

Quote:
fate n.
1. The supposed force, principle, or power that predetermines events.
2. The inevitable events predestined by this force.

The "supposed force that predetermines events" has spoken again....

You guys know I had my heart set on a male rotty... and it appears I wasn't about to have one until Polo got himself into our homes.....

I sort of figured hubby would "forget about" the idea of brining a puppy in since him and Polo are already BEST FRIENDS (Polo stays right on hubby's heals 24/7 LOL!)

Well hubby taps me this morning and says.... "why have you not called the breeders yet.... we have a deposit there and contrary to everything you keep thinking ... I still want a puppy from them. Please pick out a litter today so you can at least get a decent pick from one of the future litters so we don't get shafted again..." and off to bed he went lol

So I poked around and looked at all of the upcoming litters and decided "I guess.... that one due to be born at the end of December will be "OK" and I called the breeders to get us on the list...

Breeder says "Male or Female?" hmmmm that got me to thinking. With Polo around...I probably should get a female. He may not take kindly to a young male being reared up to "take his place on the throne" in a year or two.... so I pondered it and talked to the breeder about it and talked the kids (but not to hubby since he was asleep lol and he didn't SPECIFICALLY say male even though we've all always assumed male lol) and I decided Female would be best...

So I told the breeder female and she says... hmmm you'd be down to fourth pick on a female in that litter... third for males... UGH .... but then she says... however, if you want female, why not take the female I still have available on the litter you originally wanted a puppy from?

Hmmmm how in the heck is a female still available? She explains that that the 1st and 3rd pick females are already sold but due to a strange series of events [long story she explained to me that really is odd but true] the 2nd pick female is still available..... Ok this is too weird I'm thinking to myself...it's gotta be fate forcing me into submission again lol.

Needless to say.... the puppies that were born on Nov 2nd...Election day... that had me so depressed because there were not enough males for me.... happens to have our female. And thus I told the breeders to "Make it so" lol

Five minutes after hanging up the phone I had a name all picked out that I'm set on. Mind you, it takes me FOREVER to pick a name...but this one just seems "right to me" LOL

It's a Y litter. Not the Z litter I thought it would be...

The puppy will be the third dog in our trio and the puppy will come home on Christmas Eve....

So her "Title" will be ThunderVly's Yule Trinity

I'm hoping to go visit the lil lady whose eyes are still opening soon but I couldn't resist introducing "Trinity" even without pics lol

I'm certain 2005 is going to be a crazy year trying to handle these three dogs lol

No, hubby doesn't know yet lol He went to bed about 8am this morning so he should be popping up soon enough for the news.... I have no idea what reaction to expect at this point lol

Hopefully by the time Trinity comes home we'll have Polo even more socialized.... I'll be taking him out and about A LOT just to keep him in tune with other dogs. I also have a friend that likes to bring his dog over for play time so I'll try to set a play date up with him sometime soon as well.

It's all so wild lol Looks like I'll be OUT of the dog market for quite some time

Wow! Congratulations! I'm sure Polo and Chelsea will warm right up to the new puppy. I'm so glad things have worked out for you. It's good that you got out of that slump you were in.

Well hubby woke up.

I was really nervous that he'd not like the whole female pup idea but I guess I don't know him as well as I thought I did lol.

I told him... and I told him what I wanted her name to be and he responds...

"Darn you, why are you always stealing my ideas? I have no problem with a female and I've always liked that name"

So there it is.... simple as pie..... !whew! lol

Eventually that's going to equate to almost 300lbs of lap dog roaming around my home. I'm no longer sure if "you deserve it" means something good or something bad
