Me and Fritz on my 47th birthday on Monday.Mom and i went to dinner on Saturday the 8th,I had New York Steak,Mom White Roughy Fillet,brought Fritz home some steak as a treat.Couldn't have the dinner Monday as Mom had a Potluck dinner at church and my sister and husband were at their cottage on the weekend and Larry works during the week.Mom bought a small cake we had on Monday.It had white icing with coconut on it and fruit or jam filling,very good,Fritz thought so too.I got a card from Mom,the Aunties and Marlene and Larry.I cried a little as this is my first birthday without dad,miss him a lot.I am sure he was smiling down from heaven on my special day.

Happy Birthday Barry! I'm glad you and your mom had a good evening and Fritz got a bit of steak. I'm sure it was hard being your first birthday without your Dad.

Fritz resting on the kitchen floor of my sister's cottage October 5.We went with my sister and her dog Taffy in our van ,she drove,van packed with our things and theirs.Larry,her husband came later.Fritz layed on my lap on the way up.We stopped at a Tim Horton's halfway there for lunch,Fritz and Taffy stayed in the van.Fritz left a few wet spots around the cottage,not happy about it,other than that he behaved.Fritz and Taffy get along,they just leave each other alone.Anytime Marlen got food out,Fritz was at her feet looking for anything he could get.Every day Taffy has Beggin Strips,Fritz sees this so he had some too.Larry would leave them on the counter,Fritz would growl for it.Even when they were put away,Fritz would smell them and want some.Fritz slept with Mom every night,Mom had a short leash on him in case he wandered,he stayed put and was quiet every night.Every time Fritz had to go out,he went up the steps and layed there until called back.Friends of theirs Rick and Cheryl have a Golden Retriever Murphy and he liked Fritz,wagged his tail when he saw him.Murphy then tried sniffing Fritz,not a good move,Fritz barked at him and that was that.The next day was rainy off and on and 72.Larry and Marlene took mom on a studio tour to different places where crafts such as Jewelry and Pottery were done.I stayed and babysat the dogs.Shortly after getting back,we went out for Chinese food,Taffy and Fritz came with us and slept in the van as went in and ate.The next day Sunday was cool and 62 degrees.Later in the day,we had Thanksgiving Dinner.There were six of us including Rick and Cheryl,Murphy's owners ,Murphy stayed behind,aready two dogs at or near the table.We had Turkey,Ham,Dressing,Cranberries,Carrots,Potatoes,P ickles and Buns,Fritz had a little Turkey.Dessert was Pumpkin Pie and Whipped Cream,Apple Crisp and Ice Cream,all good.Monday it was time to go home,all had a good time,Fritz sp much that slept on the back seat of the van for the 2 hour ride home.

Fritz giving Auntie Bev and Irene kisses when they came on October 12.Fritz standing at the door watching his Aunties coming.Fritz begging for Tim Horton's doughnuts from me.Fritz his head buried between Irene's legs.Fritz laying in the kitchen wanting Eggo Toaster Stix from Bev or Irene on Saturday October 13.Fritz cleaning off my plate of Toaster Stix.Fritz gave them big kisses and wags when they came,got some treats from both of them,went a few walks,made him happy.Later went shopping,could have taken him but he stayed behind.After this,wen tout to eat,Irene brought back Fritz some liver as a treat.Fritz slept with them that night and was quiet.Had Toaster Stix for breakfast the next day.mom took them up to Apple Fest here and brought back Cinnamon douhgnuts which Fritz enjoyed.Left shortly.We watch them leave from the window,holding on to Fritz.They are coming back on November 10 for a visit.Irene looks good,hair has come back in,doesn't have to see a Doctor for months,no tests for that visit and eats good.

Fritz snoozing in the chair and later outside after being to the groomers wearing a Blue scarf.Fritz never in a hurry to go,he pants and shakes on the way there,but once there,he can't wait to get in and see the cats,pulling on the leash.Fritz never wants to go,wants to stay and play with the Cats,have to pick him up.I set him down outside and he still won't move,so carry him to the van and rides on my lap home.When he gets home,he finds a corner in the kitchen and snoozes.His next visit to ther groomers is November 8,two days before the Aunties arrive.

Fritz on Christmas Day with bag of treats he got from Mom.Sorry for not being on sooner,I have been busy with shoveling snow,lots of that this year and cold.We all had a good Christmas and New Year's.It all started with Christmas Eve when Mom,me and her sister went to a Christmas Pageant at church.We sang Carols and watched a play about the birth of Jesus.After this,we left and the church bells were ringing outside,had never heard them before.We took Mom's sister home and went up to my sister's for refreshments.After that,we went home for a bit before heading back up to pick up my sister to go a 11:00 candlelight service at church.Sang some carols and had communion.After this,the Reverend lit a candle,then other person's and that continued until all the the candles were lit in the darkened church,quite a sight.We sang Silent Night holding candles high and we then exchanged candles with each other,sang Silent Night again holding candles up high.The Reverend told a story about this town where some kids had all the things thye needed anbd other kids who didn't not even hat and mitts so thye could play outside.The first group had an idea that they would put up a tree and put hat and mitts on it then the others took them and were able to play outside.The Reverend then had us put mitts and hats on a tree and were told to take some to kids who needed them.The next day was Christmas,Fritz got treats,had to dump them out of the bag for him,also got a lighted collar,Mom had to take it off him as it was battwry contolled an d afraid something might happen to Fritz if he wore it a while and he also got a dogtag with a little red heart in the middle.I gave mom two Calendars,one with Bichons and one with winter scenes.I got clothes for church,pants went back,too tight,a red sweater,jogging pants,a blue shirt and a Maple Leafs throw blanket to go on the bed,Fritz likes it when he sleeps on my bed.Later in the morning ,we went up to my sisters to open gifts.Mom got a new blouse,a moose sculpture holding a welcome sign,a Pointsettia arrangement made of tree branches and a picture I had taken of her in November put in a frame.Fritz got more treats,a dog stuffy we ended taking away froim him as he tore a hole in the back of to see where the noise was coming from.I got three hockey books,a Leafs sweatshirt and a seatbelt cover with the Leafs logo.After this was done,we went home for a bit and came back for supper,Larry's brother Frank was invited.We had Turkey,Sweet and Mashed Potatoes,Dressing,Coleslaw,Buns,Carrots and Pickles.Had a dessert with jello pieces in whipped cream and covered with Graham crackers.Fritz and Taffy had Turkey after we had ours.We had them over on New Year's day for supper.Had Ham,turnip,broccoli salad,coleslaw and Scalloped Potatoes,Same thing for dessert as Christmas and Fritz and Taffy had a little of each.
