Thanks again everyone..... Jackie yes it is all confusing to us as well.....
Okay here is some more interesting news, We took "Zeus" now known as "Reagan" to see Dr.Friz again today. He had more blood drawn to rule out some possible tick diseases as he was covered when found. He received a thorough exam and was said to be only about 8 months old, so there is now NO way this can be the same dog that the vet in florida has on file to go with the rabies tag(s). Which leads even more questions as to why Reagan would have another dog's collar and tag's on, so where would the real Zeus be? I really hate this, but after 2 weeks and nobody has posted any ad's at the base, in the base paper, Italian papers, at any of the local vets, leaves us to believe he was dumped on purpose. As mentioned before there is no record related to those tags that were on Reagan's collar in the immediate area here or around Naples, so the time has come and nobody has claimed him so today he was internationally microchipped and is now "ours" sort of speaking. Around here the Itailian vet's especially the good one's don't take likely to the dumping of dog's after 2-3 weeks if no contact is made the dog is "officially" allowed to be adopted.
So now there is the latest update.....

That's great Kim. Now here's hoping the other tests are all Negative. Great name too.
I knew he wasn't that old... what a doll baby though.

Thanks Yeah seeing as he had 2 rabies tags on the collar that would give an estimated age of at least 16-18 months (going by the time frame that rabies vaccinations are usually given) and he isn't even estimated to be a year old, the things people do over here, it just sickens me!!!

I just read through the last thread about him. That is so sad that he's afraid of the tennis ball and scared of men! The poor pup must have had a hard life. And a strange life too if someone switched his tags! Hearing stories like that makes me so sad and mad, probably because I have three wonderful kitties that were dumped-two of them were literally thrown away. I'm so glad that Reagan is with you now and I hope that he can have the happy, healthy life that he deserves!

What a relief, I was just wondering about this today, thanks for the update. Weird thing about his collar though, it could almost be a Law and Order episode...

Your welcome Jenn, thanks for thinking of him....Yes it is still baffling about his collar, but it's pretty much in the past now and Reagan is on the road to a great new life!!!
