Harley...and the mess she made
So, I was thinking I was going to be able to take a nice, long bath and relax a little.
The bath itself was nice, what I found afterwards was not so nice.
You see, Harley decided to get into something and cause a mess. I came out to find a nice pen that I used a lot, broken into small pieces with GREEN ink all over the carpet. I was furious!! There are times where I think this dog cannot be left alone without getting into something she's not supposed to!!
Gack! So, my relaxing bath wasn't so relaxing after all. It's a good thing I got most of it out of the carpet!!

Oh boy! Did I ever tell you about the time I ran to the store (gone about 10 minutes) and came home to what looked like a canary explosion all over my living room? Yeah, Orion decided the yellow feather duster needed to DIE! Good thing was, no scrubbing involved!
I'm sorry you had to get out of the bath to find such a mess!

omg karen!! i'm so sorry!! i totally know how you feel, girl! maybe you could put her in the bathroom with you when you bathe. i used to do that with mine. or you could crate her when you are in there.
good luck with that ink. just don't do what i did once- i used a some spray clorox or soemthing to get some blue hairdye out of the carpet and was so amazed at how well it worked...only to find out it had bleach in it!! yah..... i found that out when i saw the big orange stain on the beige carpet. oh well!

Karen I'm so sorry!!
Believe me I can completely understand, Scooby our yellow lab/chow mix decided to break apart a red ink pen back in chicago and we had off white carpet at the time, oh it was so much fun, bled through the carpet onto the floor, felt like we were scrubbing for days
Oh the stories I could share

Oh boy, dogs can be just like little kids sometimes! At least you got most of the green ink out of the carpeting. Why do things always seem to happen when a person is just about to relax?

OMG!! This just happened to me yesterday too!!! Jade our kitty always gets on the counters and the desk...and yesterday while I was in the shower getting ready for work, she decided that she had to knock the pen out of the pen jar on the desk...and of course Max had to destroy it...right on my brand new tan area rug!!! Now there is a huge blue stain on my new rug...and whats even better, he must have gotten some ink on the bottom of his paws because its on the kitchen carpet (Im not too worried about that because its going anyways...) but he also got it on my white rug in the bathroom...I about cried. Then I about put them both on the front porch with a "I need a home" sign on them!! DONT worry...I didnt... But yeah...how the heck am I supposed to get that out?? Any ideas? I managed to get some off of the area rug because its the shaggy type and I just tried to cut some pieces out without making it look too bald...but yeah...the bathroom ones killing me...
I feel your pain!!

I feel sorry for all of you who also have to deal with the dog messes!!
I first used some Woolite pet stain remover, until I realized I didn't have enough to soak into the stain! Then, I got so angry I said screw it and dug underneath the sink, looking for something. I used 409 cleaner! It actually did work, but I had to scrub for what seemed like forever!! I think I'm going to go out and buy a buttload of Woolite pet stain cleaner today! But, I may also just steam clean the carpet, as it needed to be done anyways!

My gosh Karen and Melissa!!!!!!
And Mandie I can't imagine coming home to that! That Orion!
The Woolite seemed to work good, we tried it for things before. Hmmmm have you guys tried Hot Shot? I know it's awesome at getting pet stains out.
Ok, so I just got up and went to look at the can and it didn't say *ink* but it said coffee stains, lipsticks, grease/dirt, etc etc. You guys might want to give that a try?? It's an orange and blue bottle. It's cool, you spray it on and let it sit there, and some stains dissapear with no scrubbing at all even!
