Household Herding

After being led around by my pant leg this morning by Cookie it got me to thinking....where is she trying to take me?

Simon does this too, Simon and Cookie are both dogs with strong herding instincts.

I wonder what their goal is here with herding me? Where shall I be herded to? Same as when they are rounding up the cats. It seems I am just aimlessly drug about until I tell them to stop. They also seem to herd each other, and this just goes on and on back and forth.

Funny thing, as I was picking up last night, I noticed Cookie is stashing all her toys in her crate. Is this herding? She has herded all her toys into her "area" . I certainly hope she doesn't think I'll fit in her crate. hahhahaha

On a more serious note, I should probably be discouraging this behaviour but my thought was to work with it. Let them do it some, but have boundaries about it. What are your thoughts?
