I just wanted to say thanks for all your responses to my dobe/shepherd que. I ended up first adopting a 2 yr old pitbull from a pound but had to give her back immediately because she wasnt good with my cats. She was a good dog though. I got that same day a 2 1/2 month
basset hound from the dog house( this shop that only sells puppies). One of my cats bounded with her immediately. I had raised him with a previous basset hound. The other, which is still young, is still unsure, but is getting closer and closer to the puppy every day. I think im going to stick with this breed. They have the greatest temperment towards cats and people.
She will be faithful and true, to the last beat of her little heart.
